The Malampuzha Garden is set to host a flower show starting on the 23rd. Organized in collaboration with the Palakkad District Tourism Promotion Council and the Irrigation Department, a flower fair is scheduled to take place at Malampuzha Garden from January 23rd to 28th.
The flower exhibition will feature unique flower buds, diverse garden sections showcasing various types of flowers, and an orchid farm. Currently, orchids and indigenous flowers cultivated by garden workers are on exhibit. The entry is open from 8 am to 8:30 pm.
Around 30 flower varieties, including Zenia, chendumalli in various hues, roses, Delicia, cosmos, dahlia, salvia, vatamalli, and marigold, will grace the display. Orchids adorn the garden’s forefront, while indigenous flowers embellish other sections. Witness the beauty of plants cultivated by diligent workers since October.
Students from Malampuzha Ashramam School, Malampuzha Lead College, Mundur Yuvakshetra College, and Chittoor Govt are actively engaged in creating murals within the garden. Additionally, the fair will showcase and offer for sale a vibrant array of flowers sourced from private nurseries.
A sustainable food fair featuring Palakkad’s distinctive and tribal dishes will be organized in adherence to eco-friendly practices. Furthermore, a dance hall will be arranged for visitors to the garden who wish to enjoy singing songs.
