The Federal Bank Kochi Marathon aspires to position Kochi as a prominent global sports tourism hub, attracting participants from across the nation and around the world. The event is dedicated to drawing runners with diverse backgrounds and nationalities, highlighting Kochi as an appealing destination for sports enthusiasts worldwide.

Warm greetings to all participants joining us for the 2nd Edition of the Federal Bank Kochi Marathon! This event serves as a lively celebration of running, community, and the resilient spirit of Kochi. Following the success of our inaugural marathon, we are thrilled to present an even more exciting and immersive experience in 2024.

Participating in the Federal Bank Kochi Marathon guarantees a fulfilling and exhilarating experience, unlike anything the city has seen before. The marathon is set to take place on Feb 11, 2024, with the exact route to be disclosed once finalized with the authorities.

The Marathon, Half Marathon, 10 km, and 3 km (Green Run) races will feature age categories, and there will be no open category. All prizes and timings will be based on Net Time, not Gun Time. It has been decided to award prizes to maintain the excitement of the run.

There are four divisions in the event:

Marathon (42.195 Km) – Timed
Half Marathon (21.097 Km) – Timed
10 Km – Timed
3 Km Green Run

Is manual (offline) registration possible?

Certainly, on-the-spot registrations in person will be accepted only on February 9th and 10th, 2024. It’s important to be aware that individuals choosing offline registration will not be provided with time chip bibs and T-shirts.

Are there specific age requirements for participants, either minimum or maximum?

Minimum age requirements for different race categories:
Full Marathon: 18 years
Half Marathon: 18 years
10 Kms: 14 years
3 Kms: 8 years

Is it possible for me to take part in multiple race categories?

No, you are restricted to participating in just one race category.

An issue occurred during the registration process. Although I’ve been billed, I haven’t received a confirmation. What steps should I take to resolve this?

Is it possible to modify my chosen category after completing the registration process?

Category changes are permitted up to two weeks before the event date. If a participant opts for a shorter distance, the adjustment will be made, but any difference in registration fees cannot be refunded. Should a participant wish to switch to a longer distance, this is feasible, contingent upon payment of the price difference between the two race distances.

Is it possible to transfer or cancel my registration? If so, will there be any refund provided?

No refunds will be issued for registration cancellations. However, up to two weeks before the event date, participants have the option to transfer their registration(s) to others. In exceptional and genuine cases, supported by evidence and subject to our discretion, a full refund may be considered, but it will be subject to deduction of processing fees.

Do t-shirts cater to all racial categories?

When will the distribution of race bibs take place?

Please collect your running bib (chest number) and t-shirt at the BIB Distribution Expo.

Important Notice: BIB Distribution will not be available on the morning of the race day. If you are unable to collect the Race Day Kit in person, you may authorize someone else to do so by providing them with a soft/hard copy of your Confirmation Email/SMS, along with any of the following government ID proofs:

Is the timing chip included?

Certainly, participants in the Full Marathon, Half Marathon, and 10K will receive a timing chip.

Are there any medical base camps available?

Certainly, there will be a medical base camp at the event, equipped with two ambulances.

How many mobile toilets are available?

There will be an adequate number of mobile toilets along the route.

How many water and hydration stations are available, and what is the distance between them?

Sufficient hydration stations will be positioned along the route.

Are there any directional signage boards or volunteers present for guidance?

Certainly, there will be directional signage boards and volunteers positioned throughout the entire route.

Is the finisher eligible to receive the certificate and medal?

Participants will be provided with post-race refreshments.
