During the Sabarimala high-pilgrimage season, those who reach in time for the sanctified moment will have the opportunity to witness Lord Ayyappa adorned with a golden pendant (Thanga Angi ). It is a ritual performed as a guide for devotees. The golden pendant obtained through meticulous procedures during the sanctified moment is used for this purpose. The pilgrimage ticket must be obtained through the Devaswom Administrative Office. Pilgrims will receive an opportunity for darshan from the front row during the ritual, making the pilgrimage a unique experience. Therefore, the golden pendant ritual is observed every day. After the completion of the Uchcha Pooja, the Ashtabhishekam (ritual with eight sacred materials) begins in the early morning every day. The Ashtabhishekam starts after the morning Usha Pooja. The necessary materials for this ritual can be obtained from the Devaswom office in the presence of the officials every day.
