The virtual queue booking limit for Sabarimala darshan has been reduced to 80,000 from the previous limit of 90,000. When the booking limit was 90,000, decisions were made collectively by the state government, the Minister of Devaswom, and the President of the Devaswom Board based on the overwhelming response from devotees who transcended the limit.
However, according to P.S. Prashanth, the President of the Travancore Devaswom Board, special booking facilities have been arranged for Ayyappa devotees at selected locations to ensure their convenience. He emphasized that the propaganda about essential facilities not being provided for Ayyappa devotees at Sabarimala is unfounded. Basic amenities such as resting places, pumps, and sanitation facilities are available at strategic points for devotees arriving at Sabarimala.
Facilities like bathrooms, toilets, urinal facilities, and bio-toilets have been arranged at the pilgrimage sites for the convenience of the devotees. Drinking water distribution is also carried out at all locations. Timely medical assistance is available, and efforts are made to enhance the pilgrimage experience through the Dynamic Queue Complex established by the Travancore Devaswom Board.
The Dynamic Queue System, introduced to manage the crowd and ensure better control over devotees during the pilgrimage, has proven to be beneficial. The new system, which replaced the old police control methods, has received acknowledgment from the police themselves.
In all weather conditions, the Dynamic Queue System has been instrumental in providing a more organized and comfortable experience for Ayyappa devotees. The distribution of holy water and biscuits is assured to provide reassurance to the devotees. Devotees arriving during the 18 steps climb will be facilitated with proper arrangements, including a smooth darshan experience.
The government, in collaboration with various departments, ensures that all types of facilities are provided to Ayyappa devotees. The Travancore Devaswom Board is committed to offering devotees the necessary conveniences and has implemented various services in collaboration with government departments. The President of the Devaswom Board, P.S. Prashanth, emphasizes that all the necessary facilities are in place for the devotees, and the board is continuously working to enhance the pilgrimage experience.
