However, entry to this dam from Tamil Nadu is restricted. Travelers need permission from the concerned authorities to get entry from this state to Siruvani Dam and Reservoir.

Siruvani Reservoir is almost 51 kilometers from Palakkad and 47 kilometers from Coimbatore. Surrounded by the enchanting Muthikulam Hill, it is a place blessed with amazing natural beauty. Since it is a source of drinking water, boating facility is not available in this lake. This picnic spot is connected from Coimbatore City by regular bus services.
