How To Reach

Located in the Palakkad district in Kerala, the Silent Valley National Park can be accessed from Mukkali which is less than 2 hours from Palakkad Town. The entry point of this tourist spot is approximately 30 kilometers away from Mukkali. Jeep or minibus is available from this spot to reach the reserve but private vehicles are not allowed inside the park. Remember to reach Mukkali as early as possible because the entry to the park is allowed only from 8 am to 2 pm.

The Forest Department does not allow visitors to stay inside the park. Besides, you do not get access to the picnic spot without a guide. The Forest Department assigns guides for visitors along with a permit to enter the forest.
