He is the first teenager in the history of the game to win three PGA European tour titles. He is the youngest player in the whole world to win a European tour event.
He recently extended his role of the Global Golf ambassador of Abu Dhabi to three years by signing an extension deal with the Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority. This will help to boost the role of Abu Dhabi as a major golf tourism destination in the world.
Matteo visits Abu Dhabi regularly where he is drawn to the spectacular playing and practice arrangements offered in the Abu Dhabi Golf Club, Saadiyat Beach Golf Club and Yas Links. Matteo is spellbound by the abundance of leisure activities in Abu Dhabi including the Ferrari world and the Yas waterworld.

He usually comes to Abu Dhabi before a week of the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship and he enjoys practicing in the sunshine.
