La Villa – White Town, Puducherry

Once known as Notre Dame de la Garde, this 19th-century bungalow has been transformed by architect duo Tina Trigala and Yves Lesprit with an adaptive reuseof- heritage approach. The original walls of the ground floor seamlessly merge with contemporary design elements. The luxurious all-suite abode has a choice of six themed experiences. “Bridge to heaven” is probably our pick—a 70sqm penthouse suite with a private terrace. The restaurant fronted by French chef Michel Christmann is its star attraction with a seven-course tasting menu that celebrates the fine traditions of French cuisine. La Villa is walking distance from the beach promenade and the perfect hub from which to explore White Town’s vibrant F&B scene.
