Boasting diverse attractions, the state not only beckons tourists but also presents a lucrative economic prospect for potential investors.

Advancing its strategic initiatives to boost Kerala’s travel and hospitality sector, Kerala Tourism is set to host an Investors’ Meet in Thiruvananthapuram on November 16. The event aims to spotlight significant investment prospects in destinations, products, and initiatives that position the State as a year-round experiential tourism hub.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the ‘Tourism Investors Meet’ (TIM), a groundbreaking initiative to be held at the Hyatt Regency. State Tourism Minister PA Mohamed Riyas revealed that targeted areas requiring increased investments will be disclosed to investors and stakeholders from India and abroad during the event. Emphasizing the untapped potential of Kerala’s tourism sector, he expressed confidence that the Investors’ Meet will play a pivotal role in harnessing this potential.

Anticipated to draw approximately 350 investors, the event will unveil abundant investment opportunities in various aspects of the tourism sector, encompassing hospitality, eco-tourism initiatives, adventure tourism, responsible tourism, and sustainable tourism projects. The Minister highlighted that the Investors’ Meet will feature presentations, exhibitions, seminars, and workshops showcasing diverse tourism investment opportunities across the state. Additionally, project pitch sessions, round-table discussions, and business-to-business meetings will be integral components of the conclave.

Riyas emphasized the State Government’s possession of substantial land and physical assets in locations with immense tourism potential throughout Kerala. He underscored the need for sustainable development to transform the entire state into a leading all-weather experiential tourism destination on a global scale. Recognizing the dynamic nature of present-day tourism, the Minister stressed the importance of updating, upgrading, and reorienting the sector to align with current trends and preferences. Attracting more investment to promising locations and products was identified as a vital strategy to achieve this goal.
