The Central Meteorological Department has announced the possibility of heavy rain in the state for the next 5 days. Due to the formation of a cyclone over the southern coastal area of Tamil Nadu, fishermen are advised not to venture into the sea.
In Thrissur, an orange alert has been declared, and entry to waterfalls and tourist destinations related to water bodies and hilly areas, including Athirappilly and Vazhachal, is prohibited on the 21st and 22nd. There is a chance of very heavy rain in the district on Tuesday and Wednesday, with an orange alert issued for these days. Tourist spots such as Vilangan Kunnu, Kalasha Mala, Poomala Dam, Enamavu Nehru Park, Cheppara, Vazhani Dam, Peechi Dam, Sneha Theeram Beach, Chavakkad Beach, and Thumboormuzhi River Garden will remain closed to tourists until the rain warning is lifted.
