The first hi-tech dairy farm was set up at Kulathupuzha, Kollam to encourage fodder cultivation and improve the production of cattle feed. Visitors get lectures on nutrition utilization, pasture development, supplementary feeding, metabolism monitoring and milk testing methods, and any other subject relating to cattle farming in Kerala.
Several varieties of high-yielding cattle are being reared on” Mattupetty Dairy farm, at Munnar. This robotic dairy is run by the Indo-Swiss Livestock Project.
