Abu Dhabi Corniche is a picturesque seaside promenade that is situated at the north western shore of Abu Dhabi, the capital of United Arab Emirates.

Visiting the Corniche in Abu Dhabi is one of the ten must do’s if you are in the capital city. Abu Dhabi Corniche has always been a popular destination for tourists and leisure seekers who come to relax in this idyllic place.

The Corniche, the seaside promenade spreads across an amazing eight kilometres of well-preserved waterfront that is bedecked with restaurants, cafes, children’s’ play area, separate pathways for pedestrians and cycles and the Corniche beach.

It is a place of magic and memories. Several beautiful green gardens are lined across the Abu Dhabi Corniche. It has turned out to be one of the popular attractions in Abu Dhabi. Many mesmerizing fountains are aesthetically placed at each intersection of walkways and entrance.

To top the excitement, there is the Corniche beach which is safe with lifeguards. You can spend a lazy holiday in the magnificent Corniche beach. It extends along the Corniche road near the Hilton hotel to the Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street where the main entrance of the beach lies. You are not allowed to go deep waters in the sea, if you are a swimming freak. There are floating fences kept within 40 metres of the beach.

The coveted Blue Flag status has been awarded to the serene beach of Abu Dhabi Corniche. It is a world acclaimed honour that is awarded to beaches and marinas that provide clean and safe bathing water.

Abu Dhabi Corniche baech is divided into three separate sections for families, singles and general public. The Corniche is hovered by about 30,000 to 50,000 visitors every month. We can see several beach umbrellas in the beach where you can laze down enjoying the charisma of the turquoise colour water. There are about 1,100 free parking spaces within a five minutes’ walk in the beach. There is a fee of about AED 10 for entry into the family and children’s sections. The entry to the general public section is free.

The best way to enjoy the marvel of the Corniche is by means of bicycles. Bicycle rental services rent out a variety of bicycles from city bikes to mountain bikes.
