The Vizhinjam International Seaport is on track to conduct a trial run in June, as stated by Minister VN Vasavan. This project, considered a significant advancement for Kerala’s development, is moving ahead swiftly.
Originally slated for completion this month, the embankment was impressively finished by the end of April. Furthermore, the arrival of a ship carrying cranes for the port is anticipated within this month. Upon the installation of these cranes, the trial run is set to commence in June.
A recent review meeting affirmed the project’s rapid advancement. Minister Vasavan, along with key officials including Principal Secretary (Ports) KS Srinivas, MD Vizhinjam Port Divya S Iyer, and representatives from Adani Ports, attended the meeting.
