Bookings are now open for the Tata Tiago and Tigor models equipped with AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) and CNG (Compressed Natural Gas).
The Tata Tiago and Tigor have achieved the milestone of being the first CNG cars in India to feature an automatic gearbox. Bookings are currently open, requiring an initial amount of Rs 21,000.
A few days back, Tata Motors provided a sneak peek into the automatic versions of the Tigor and Tiago CNG models. Yesterday, the company has officially opened bookings for these dual AMT CNG variants. Prospective customers can secure their Tiago and Tigor CNG AMT models by making a token payment of Rs. 21,000 at their nearest Tata Motors authorized showroom or through the brand’s online portal.
The Tiago iCNG AMT will be available in three variants (XTA CNG, XZA+ CNG, and XZA NRG), while the Tigor iCNG AMT will offer two variants (XZA CNG and XZA+ CNG). Both models feature twin-cylinder tanks and the convenience of direct starting in CNG mode.
The Tiago CNG AMT will be available in three variants, while the Tigor CNG AMT will have only two variants. Additionally, the car brand has introduced new exterior colors to the Tiago, Tiago NRG, and Tigor models. The Tiago now comes in a fresh Tornado Blue shade, while the Tiago NRG and Tigor offer new options with Grassland Beige and Meteor Bronze hues, respectively.
Both of these vehicles will feature a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, petrol-CNG engine under the hood. This engine is configured to generate 72bhp and 95Nm of torque. Importantly, both the Tiago CNG AMT and the Tigor CNG AMT will be equipped with twin-cylinder CNG technology.
