Originally a Dutch Bastion in the 1700s that served to preserve the Dutch supremacy in the Fort Kochi area. It became the official residence of Sir Robert Bristow, the founder and first chairman of the Cochin Port. It also served as a lighthouse. Till the late 1980s the bungalow housed senior officers of the port, but the high cost of maintenance later led it its neglect. Finally, the property was acquired by Mr. Vickram Ghorade, Suvira Group. Over the past one and a half year, tremendous effort was put in to revive its glory. Retaining its past grandeur and heritage, the building now proudly stands to welcome its guest in its new avatar as a luxury hotel with all modern amenities
