The commencement of the India International Travel Mart takes place in Kochi. The 2024 edition of the India International Travel Mart (IITM) commenced at the Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium in Kochi on Friday.
The gathering, which unites participants from the tourism industry including travel agents, will continue until January 21, running from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Representatives from various states, including New Delhi, Meghalaya, Chhattisgarh, and Jharkhand, are actively participating in the event.
Mariyamma Jose, the chairperson of the Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI), Paulose K. Mathew, chairman of the Travel Agents Federation of India (TAFI), U.C. Riyaz, committee member of the India Convention Promotion Bureau (ICPB), Nirmala Lily, president of Soumen Kulijetus Logistikka (SKAL) – Cochin, and Rajkumar K., CEO of the Kerala Travel Mart (KTM) Society, collectively inaugurated the travel mart.
Rohit Hangal, the director of Sphere Travel Media, the event’s organizers, expressed that the initiative was conceived to foster exploration and innovation within the travel industry. He emphasized that the event serves as a dynamic intersection of cultures and provides a platform for transformative journeys and business prospects in the sector.
