Hatta Wadi Trek is a blend of driving to tough Al Hagar Mountains and wadis. It is an interesting episode and treat for your eyes. The trip is through the desert, driven by expert chauffeurs in luxurious 4 wheelers. On the way you will be going through Oasis hamlet at the trough of the mountains.
Drive through mountain passes is fun filled with wadis and rocky tracks around. There are fresh-water streams and crystal clear pools to go for a quick paddle, surely will refresh you and calm your nerves.
In the ancient oasis village of Hatta you will come across Arabian Life. Next is the swim in the natural pools, after that refreshments and lunch. Then comes the visit to the heritage village where you will see the village life of Arabia. At the end is the visit to the Hatta Fort Hotel before returning back to Abu Dhabi.
The tour starts with the journey through the Hatta highway; it is a road route to Oman, and takes 45 minutes to cover it. On the way you will be passing through small shops and little houses. There is a stop at Friday Market where there are many small shops which sell local fruits, pots and carpets.
In the Hatta Heritage Village you could see the old fort built in sixteenth century. Here you could see the traditional way of watering date farms. Also you would come across the old house of the sheikh of Hatta.
The trip then continues through rough roads, you will pass through green fields, small oasis and arid mountain adequate to give you thrill and adventure. As you travel you will come across small and big wadis, dry river beds, and these river beds contain winter water from these Hajjar Mountains, don’t miss the swim in one of these wadis. Surely it is refreshing and will cool your body.
The last destination is Hatta Hotel where you can have a sumptuous meal arranged. Beverages are there at the hotel, but it is payable after consumption. Others facilities available at the hotel are swimming and pigeon shooting.
