Dubai opened up for leisure tourism in July 2020, and was soon followed by the happenings of local and international business events in September and October respectively, with a steady and growing stream of ongoing meetings, conferences, and trade shows since then.
A key part of Dubai tourism strategy in 2021 is (wherever possible) to resume face-to-face meetings and interactions with business personnel around the world.
Several safety practices have been put in place to make this possible. The city is using technology to enable heightened safety, and one mechanism that has already been deployed in venues includes artificial intelligence monitoring tools that enable organisers to identify where there isn’t sufficient social distancing or where crowds may be unacceptably large. Moreover, AI in taxis can confirm if passengers are wearing face masks or not.
Tourism wise, Dubai has always had a strong appetite for planners to experience the emirate as a destination since it offers something for all interests – culture vultures, adventurous seekers, wellbeing fans and foodies.

BOLLYWOOD PARKS
This newly renovated theme park, Bollywood Parks, located at Dubai Parks and Resorts re-opened in January 2021 with an exciting array of nine new rides and attractions. Inspired by the greatest Bollywood blockbusters, this theme park now offers thrilling experiences for all ages, including the world’s tallest swing, which rises 460-feet above Dubai Parks and Resorts and a 180-feet ferris wheel which offers panoramic views from the top.
HERITAGE EXPRESS
Travellers to Dubai can enjoy culture on wheels’ aboard the new Heritage Express trolley, a hand-painted custom-designed streetcar, during an interactive guided tour. Visitors can jump aboard and visit historical attractions such as Jumeirah Mosque Garden and the Al Fahidi district, savour local cuisine and also immerse themselves in stories about Dubai’s history from an Emirati guide. Additionally, one can also partake in a cultural meal at the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for cultural understanding and learn more about local customs.
TOP GOLF
Situated in the popular Emirates Golf Club, Top Golf is the latest sports and entertainment destination, offering an exciting golfing experience for travellers of all kinds. With climate-controlled booths and high-tech balls, guests can compete with family and friends, or practice their swing. Top Golf also hosts three restaurants and lounges with sweeping views of Dubai.
TWIGGY BY LA CANTINE
This newly opened beach club and restaurant by the team of popular DIFC hotspot La Cantine Du Faubourg is located at the Park Hyatt Dubai, just steps away from the Creekside. Twiggy teleports you to the south of France with its culinary experiences. It serves modern French cuisine, Mediterranean-inspired dishes and an extensive sushi selection. The outlet is set on a sandy beach leading to a 100-metre infinity pool of crystal-clear water, delivering uninterrupted views across the Dubai Creek.
SONARA DESERT DINING EXPERIENCE
