It has the Guinness World Record for the ‘largest Acrylic Panel in the world’. The acrylic viewing panel can stand the pressure of the 10 million litres of water that is used in the aquarium. Dubai aquarium and underwater zoo is operated and managed by the Oceanis Australia group. The aquarium display a large array of marine animals, say, about 33,000. It represents more than 220 species which include sharks and stingrays. It contains the largest collection of Sand tiger sharks in the world.
