Camaro is the new addition to Dubai Police fleet after the Ferrari FF and an Aston Martin One-77. Dubai Police also proudly possess a Lamborghini Aventador. Now the Dubai Police adds a Chevy Camaro SS to its fleet of vehicles, making is the first police force in the Middle East to own this vehicle.
Dubai deputy police Chief Major General Khamis Mattar Al Mazeina said that a Chevrolet Camaro is highly regarded across the world. The Dubai Police is trying to upgrade its vehicles to meet the highly acclaimed standard of the Emirates in safety and security. The Camaro is the ideal vehicle in the attempt of the Dubai Police to add high performance patrol cars to their fleet.
The Camaro’s ability to respond quickly along with its high performance V8 engine, its practical adaptability for the roads of Dubai and its ease of servicing will make it the most suitable patrol car in the future.
Buti Saeed Al Ghandi, managing director of Al Ghandi Auto (a dealer of Chevrolet in the UAE) and John Stadwick, president and managing director of GM Middle East were present in the handing over ceremony of the Chevrolet Camaro SS to the Dubai Police. They handed over the keys of the Camaro to the Dubai Deputy Police Chief Major General Khamis Mattar Al Mazeina.
Chevrolet Camaro SS – the sports car has been rated as the Best Muscle car for four consecutive years from 2009 to 2012 by the leading automotive magazine in the Middle East.
Camaro will be put on patrol in the area that is frequented by tourists. It has in possession a 6.2 litre V8 engine which has enamored the Dubai Police. 426 horse power motor is another highlight of the Chevy Camaro SS.
