A Day Out in Al Ain – Enliven, unwind and take a walk on the Wild Part.
Morning
Rise up at around 5:30 am to catch the live action at the Magam Camel race track outside Al Ain. Get the excitement as owners follow their prize animals in 4x4s from the inner closure in full safety. It is a pride moment and you can be part of that excitement as the winners are awarded with the trophies. Come back to the hotel for the breakfast and the pool.
Afternoon
Take a trip through the ancient Al Ain Oasis and get the cares of the world drain away. Get cooled by the wafting palms and see the customary falaj irrigation system in action. Imagine the days when this was one of the most welcome sights on the Silk Route.
Evening
It is time for a guided tour through the Al Ain Wildlife Park & Resort with its night safari. Many of its animals are nocturnal and it is the great time to see species that remains hidden during the day time.
Traditional Falaj Irrigation System
UNESCO has called Al Ain as a world heritage site due to its oases, the traditional falaj irrigation system and its historical and archeological significance. NCTA( National Council for Tourism and Antiquities) and the Abu Dhabi Authority for culture and Heritage (ADACH) have announced the registration of Al Ain to be registered as the first Emirati site on the World Heritage list. Oasis city got registered as a heritage site during the UNESCO world Heritage committee in Paris. The UN body is the world body which encourages countries to identify their cultural and natural heritage sites and protect them as international convention.
Al Ain Zoo
Al Ain Zoo is a 900 hectare park near the base of Jebel Hafeet where visitors can view large animals in enclosures which nearly resembles their natural living areas. In this park lot of green public spaces area available which visitors can use of picnics and also playgrounds, a cafeteria and a train tour of the wildlife. Over 4,000 animals with at least 30% of its 180 species which is considered endangered lives here.
