Ramakkalmedu is a beautiful hill station in the Idukki district in Kerala which is around 40 kilometers away from Thekkady famous for its wind mills. Ramakkalmedu – A unique name

It is believed that the place got its name because Lord Rama kept his feet in this land when he is in search of Sita, his beloved wife.

Madurai Airport is about 145 kilometers from this hill station. Changanassery is the nearest railway station which is approximately 90 kilometers from Ramakkalmedu.
